Cultivating Cultures: One heart at a time.

​Our journey as an organization is deeply rooted in the passion and expertise of Dra. Sonia Rosado, whose educational background and research led her to write a groundbreaking book on the academic success of Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Latinx students in higher education. With over 20 years of leadership training experience, Dra. Rosado has played a pivotal role in transforming the culture at her institution to promote belonging and academic success for students from diverse backgrounds and various intersecting identities. Drawing from a strong foundation in emotional intelligence and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) principles, she has designed curricula that foster transformational and sustainable cultures, ensuring lasting impact on both individuals and organizations.

What We Represent?

Browning the Rainbow is a consulting and training firm dedicated to cultivating transformational, sustainable organizational cultures through emotionally intelligent, human-centered leadership development.

 

Our logo tells a story of identity, healing, and collective responsibility.​ Pink represents Rosado, honoring personal identity and authenticity. Orange reflects community and collective action. Teal and blue symbolize healing and joy. Brown honors the lived realities and systemic injustices experienced by queer and trans people of color. At the center is a heart, representing love as the foundation of authentic, transformative leadership.​

 

Rooted in Dra. Sonia Rosado’s research on the academic persistence of Latinx LGBTQ+ students, Browning the Rainbow is grounded in a leadership journey of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management. We apply this framework to leadership development by helping individuals cultivate emotional intelligence, communicate authentically, and lead with purpose. We believe effective leadership begins with self-understanding and extends to purposeful action, intentional communication, and the cultivation of cultures where individuals and organizations can thrive.
